Great Museum, very well laid out with themed rooms snd very knowledgeable volunteers. A credit to Batemans Bay's tourist attractions.

Great place FULL of so much local history dating back well into the 1800s. There are a dozen or so rooms with so much to teach adults and children alike. Kids had a great time in the toy area getting hands on with toys from the 'olden day's'. Lots of dedicated volunteers to help fill you in if you need. Gold coin donation entry. Thursdays there's a market on as well

Utterly wonderful Have not been for several years and the gang have worked tirelessly to mount a truly diverse collection over many spaces and levels Allow a couple of hours to see everything inside, outside and in hidden nooks everywhereSecond hand bookstore and local publications are available tooWatch out for upcoming events and market daysThanks to all M

Additional hours by appointment and during school holidays. The Old Courthouse Museum explores the local history of the Batemans Bay area, including the early days of European settlement when timber cutting and milling became the first major industry of the area. Take a tour of the buildings, where each room tells a different, but related story of the Bays developments in areas such as its aboriginal heritage, medicine, education, crime and punishment, industry, military history and domestic arrangements.

The museum was very enjoyable and surprisingly large. I recommend it for all age groups
